Posted on Jan 08, 2017

Do you wait all day for an amazing night of pleasure that you will never forget only to find yourself unsatisfied and disappointed? Well, you are definitely not alone. Sex is a natural activity and has the ability to provide immense pleasure, reduce stress and depression and make you feel completely calm and satisfied, however there is just as much chance that it could go the opposite way and make you feel like you’re doing something terribly wrong because you’re just not getting what you want.

But, don’t fear there are plenty of things you can do to make sure your sex life is as satisfying and exciting as you always imagined. Here are 4 easy solutions to put you on the path to pleasure.

1. Communication is Key

You might feel like you have a deep and emotional connection with your partner, but no matter how in love you are, they can’t read your mind and you can’t read theirs. You both need to start with learning about your own bodies, you need to know what areas are particularly sensitive and what acts give you the most pleasure. It’s important to explore these things so you can communicate effectively with your partner. If you are nervous about beginning this exploration with your partner then you can easily try it out yourself first. When you’ve identified what works for you, tell your partner or even better show them. This will not only give you more satisfaction but it will also please them to know that they are able to give you the pleasure you want.

2. Be Prepared

Vaginal dryness can result in an uncomfortable sexual encounter. In order to actually effectively prepare the vagina for penetration, women will generally need at least 20 minutes of foreplay so they can reach their optimum level of arousal. However, this often doesn’t actually happen and when the arousal level is lower than it needs to be dryness can occur during sex. There are also many health conditions which could result in women not being quite ready down there, for example, hormonal changes, allergies and side-effects of medicines or supplements are all common culprits.

The solution to this is simple, invest in a good lubricant. There are many lubricants on the market all of which have different benefits and you should try some out to find the one that is best for you. When you start looking you will find that there are 3 common types of lubricant, these are; silicone based, oil based and water based. For general ease of use, it tends to be better to use a lubricant that comes in a liquid form rather than a thick jelly consistency.

Also, if you regularly use condoms it would be best to avoid oil based lubricants. As well as, adding any sort of chemical compound to your vagina can be a risk so it’s important you select a lubricant this is going to be kind to your bits, if you find a label that is full of chemicals that you have never heard of then it would be best to avoid it and look for a natural or organic brand instead.

3. Make Sure you are Medically Sound

Genital infections can be quite common and can arise due to a number of different things. For example, for women taking antibiotics can often increase the chance of a yeast infection. If you have experienced any vaginal itching, pain or a burning sensation when you urinate then it is important that you get this checked out as soon as possible. Genitals have an extremely sensitive balance of chemicals and hormones and even the slightest trigger such as a heavily perfumed soap can cause discomfort.

It is also quite common the latex in condoms to trigger an allergic reaction causing dryness and itching. If this is the case then you may feel that it’s a good idea to switch to a different kind of condom.

For example lambskin, condoms do not contain any latex and they can also be used safely with oil based lubricants. However, be warned that they do not protect from sexually transmitted infections, they are only produced to reduce the risk of pregnancy.

4. Be Adventurous

Your sex life does not have to be limited to the missionary position. You have plenty of opportunities to explore and find interesting and novel ways to enjoy sexual activity and you should make the most of those. Keeping the sex life exciting is a core part of building a happy relationship, however, you don’t need to be thinking 50 shades of grey, there are plenty of simple things that you can do to be slightly more adventurous and increase the pleasure for you and your partner.

  • Try new positions – Give yourself the opportunity to test out some new positions and see if you like them. As well as, try to regularly shift your body up and down to find the best penetrative spot. E.g. if you are trying out the doggy style you might find it slightly uncomfortable, this may be purely due to the fact that the penis is hitting your cervix resulting in a cramping sensation, a shift around can help you to the find the best position.
  • Extra Sensations – If you find that it is difficult for you to climax from penetration alone then you may want to stimulate your clitoris during sex. A good idea is to use a small sex toy like a vibrating bullet that can easily slide between you and your partner and give you both pleasure.
  • Erectile problems – If your partner has trouble sustaining an erection then it could help by investing in a penis ring, as well as if you are feeling particularly adventurous you can explore his prostate which is the most sensitive erogenous zone on a man.
  • Role Play – Many people have testified to the benefits of role play during sex, and it is a really simple way to get things going. Try acting out your fantasies to revive your sexual relationship.
